Lotus Wight @ Porch Light

February 25, 2017 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

No tickets required… A community inspired, grassroots blues event.

Long thought to be the illegitimate offspring of Buster Keaton and Elizabeth Cotton, multi-instrumentalist Lotus Wight plays banjo and guitar with astonishing verve and antiquity.

When he is not performing his solo show on theatre and folk-club stages, Wight can be seen performing with international touring act Sheesham and Lotus and ‘Son.

In the decades that book-ended the turn of our century, Wight circumvented the U.S. as a dance musician throughout the southern United States, playing for square dances, teaching clinics; and living in Memphis, Lexington, the hills of West Virginia and Kentucky. An accomplished guitarist, banjo, bass and fiddle player,

Lotus makes his home in the Kawartha Lakes district of Ontario.
