Steve Hunter w John Dickie LIVE @ The Outrigger

STEVE HUNTER, NEW ORLEANS & BLUES PIANO
FEATURING JOHN DICKIE ON VOCALS & HARP

Steve Hunter has been killing pianos in the name of New
Orleans, blues and boogie woogie for some years now. Helping
him out is his old friend John Dickie on vocals, mandolin and
blues harmonica. Heading down the mythical musical Highway
61, they pay homage to James Booker, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee
Lewis, Dr. John, Pete Johnson, Sleepy John Estes and
Professor Longhair. These guys are no friends of Doug Ford,
who denounced them recently from Queen’s Park. Levon Helm
called them “the best imitation of me yet.” Maybe you can’t get
down to the French Quarter, but you can always head to the
Cold Weather Blues Festival and catch some burning hot blues
and boogie woogie.
